UPDATE: Trayvon Martin Case
There are some new updates in the Trayvon Martin case. As I said in the last post, I have found a great site for my readers to catch up on the case and I will be here to provide the new updates. Click here for my previous update, which includes the link to catch up on previous details on the case.
Judge Lester, the presiding judge over the case, has granted George Zimmerman a $1 million dollar bond, in which he would have to pay $100,000 to be released from jail. As of now, George Zimmerman has posted bail and is being kept in a “safe house” being guarded by his own security.
Mark O’Mara, Zimmerman’s attorney, is currently fighting to keep statements from a witness known as “Witness 9” from ever reaching court. The statement: “George Zimmerman is a racist.” Also, it was made known last week that, according to doctor’s reports, George Zimmerman was advised to see an ENT (ear, nose, and throat) doctor the day after the incident, but declined. This, personally, strikes me as odd seeing as Zimmerman claimed to have had a broken nose because of the incident. This may be because, as the Boston Herald reports, newly released doctor’s reports showed that Zimmerman did not require any x-rays to be done or any head trama. Translation: No broken nose.
We are all patiently waiting for this case to come to a close and hope that justice is served for the Martin/ Fulton family.
Justice for Trayvon.
